September 9th will be here before we know it! On that day, Church of the Servant will reach a major milestone as we are preparing to celebrate our 50th anniversary as a church! That Sunday will be a day you do not want to miss! The Executive Team is working hard to create a day of celebration and fellowship. Folks from every aspect of our life together are preparing to celebrate this important day in unique and engaging ways. I hope you will save the date, invite a friend, and begin to prepare your hearts, minds and souls for a day of thanksgiving and celebration.
Below are a few details:
• Bishop Jimmy Nunn will take part in the service, and I will be delivering the message, kicking off a new worship series – Servant 5.0: Celebrating Our Past/Preparing for Our Future.
• Special events for children and youth are being planned. Pray for great weather as the NextGen Team is planning an outdoor birthday party with Slip-and-Slides, bouncy houses, and cake! Yes, CAKE! If you have a youth, tell them we will have jump tents that are for their age as well!
• Plus much, much more…
As the Executive Team continues to prepare for this exciting day, be on the lookout for more information coming your way!
Also, we need your help. If you have pictures of Church of the Servant over the past fifty years, please share them with us. Pictures from the first thirty years are especially needed. Please drop your pictures off to Heather DeShazo in the church office or email the pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Celebrating and preparing for what has happened, what is happening, and what is to come, SAVE THE DATE!
