Church of the Servant’s desire is to fight poverty and injustice so lives are transformed. We work with trusted global partners that have a holistic approach to caring for people’s spiritual and physical needs. Please consider being a valuable part of our global ministries!
Rise Against Hunger
Rise Against Hunger is an organization, which gets food and life-saving aid to the world’s most vulnerable people, and works to end global hunger in our lifetime. Established in 1998, Rise Against Hunger has provided over 374 million meals in 74 countries. Rise Against Hunger is based in Raleigh, N.C., and operates throughout the U.S. and through affiliates in developing countries. Visit www.churchoftheservant.com/hunger or www.riseagainsthunger.org for more information.
Every day 30,000 people die of starvation. That is 1,250 people per hour, one person every 3 seconds. In 2010 Church Of The Servant partnered with Rise Against Hunger in the mission of ending global hunger! Members and friends of Servant have packaged 1,319,824 meals since then.
Rise Against Hunger has become a part of who we are at Church of the Servant. For many of us, it is our most favorite Sunday of the year. It is impacting and shaping our world, our church and our families in ways we could not have foreseen.
Donations are always accepted to help cover the costs of the event. Registration begins Sunday, January 27, 2019. Again, our goal is to package 151,000 meals. Each meal costs .29 cents per meal. So, we must raise $43,790.00.
Tell your family and friends about Rise Against Hunger. Then, be a part of impacting the world through giving and participating in our next Rise Against Hunger event on Sunday, February 24, 2019. For further information, contact Scott Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org.
